A key GOP ally of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is suggesting the GOP can reach an agreement on the House version of the healthcare overhaul before a Thursday deadline.
The House Republican Conference’s plan is for the House to vote on the legislation on Thursday.
A House GOP aide told The Hill that the bill would be voted on Thursday if Ryan were willing to sign it.
The aide said there’s “still time” for the conference to work with Ryan to reach an accord.
But the aide added that there’s still a “lot of time” to get a bill passed before the deadline.
